We are finally into the month of February, which means it’s National Children’s Dental Health Month! This month the American Dental Association is asking everyone to “Defeat Monster Mouth.” Here at Young and Polite, we want to know, are you in for the challenge?
All month-long, national health observance brings thousands of dedicated and determined health care providers, dental professionals, and educators together to help promote the benefits and importance of good oral health to children, their parents/guardians, teachers and so many others.
To make oral health more enjoyable and fun, this years campaign slogan is “Defeat Monster Mouth,” this is displayed on posters. This year Flossy and Buck, the McGrinn Twins, Den and Gen Smiley, and K-9 the dog will be featured as they are fighting to take down monster mouth and help maintain good oral health with brushing and flossing and keeping up a healthy diet.
It is important to begin developing good habits with your children at an early age and to regularly scheduled dental visits. This will help children jump start their way to a lifetime of good oral health. To help teach children about good oral health, access free online resources by visiting ADA.org.
